Q: What happens when there is a delay?
A:
1 HOUR DELAY: Elementary students will start at 10:20 AM. (School doors will open at 9:50 AM and arrivals after 10:20 AM will be considered late.) Busses will pick up students 1 hour later than the usual pick-up time. Cheese pizza and PBJ will be the only items available to students buying lunch.
2 HOUR DELAY: Elementary students will start at 11:20 AM. (School doors open at 10:50 AM and arrivals after 11:20 AM will be considered late.) Morning busses will pick up students 2 hours later than the usual pick-up time. NO Breakfast served at school on a delay day. Cheese pizza and PBJ will be the only items available to students buying lunch.
In delay situations, dismissal is at 3:50 PM.
Q: How can I pay for my child's lunch(es)?
A: Please send in cash or check payable to "Stroudsburg Area School District Cafeteria" in a sealed envelope with your child's name and ID number, teacher's name, and "lunch $" written on the front. Money can also be deposited online through MySchoolBucks.
Q: What is the routine for dropping off or picking up my child at dismissal time?
A: Car Line - Drive around to the east side of the building at the Main Entrance door #12.
Walkers - Students will enter/exit at door #2 on the west side of the building.
Q: What if I need to pick up my child before dismissal time?
A: Early Dismissal: If you need to pick up your child prior to the 3:50pm dismissal, a note or phone call must be received by the Main Office prior to 3:00pm. Please arrive at the office before 3:20pm. After 3:20pm you must use the car line.
Q:What if I need to speak with my child's teacher?
A:You can call the school and leave a message for your child's teacher. In most cases they are able to return phone calls by the end of the day. You can also send a note or email directly to your child's teacher, so they can call you during their planning period.
